Carl Vernon Stoneburner, 93 of Zanesville, Ohio died at 10:55pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born March 27, 1931 in Six Mile Turn, Perry County, Ohio to the late Vernon and Gladys Wolfe Stoneburner.
Carl was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict; Methodist by faith and member of Muskingum Lodge No. 368, F & AM of Fultonham; O.E.S. of Oak Lawn, IL and Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge; he liked Baseball and especially watching the Cincinnati Reds; Inducted in 2004 to the Perry County Baseball Hall of Fame.
Survived by his children, LuAnn (Steve) Matejcak, Scott Stoneburner, Kent Stoneburner and Dee (Hayley) Stoneburner; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie (Tim) Turner, Shane (Taylor) Matejcak, Marc, Ryan, Reese, Drew, Sage and Jade Stoneburner; 1 great-granddaughter, Emerson Turner.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his wife. Ramona Sidwell Stoneburner; sister, Norma Rambo, brother, David Stoneburner and a sister, Nola Baker.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm-7pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the funeral home with Pastor Ruth Messick officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio.
